FAQ

Who will be the one to film my wedding day?

  • Covington Films is a team of some of the most passionate and highly sought after videographers around. We all film using the same settings and equipment and work off the same shot list. Every video however will be edited by me, Alex Covington. More information on our fantastic team can be found on our About Us page listed here.

What is your typical turnaround time?

  • It usually takes 6-8 weeks from the wedding day for everything to be completed. It just depends on how busy the season is.

Can we pick the music in our highlight video?

  • Yes! I'm always open to a couples input. If there's voice over in the video I'll typically put an instrumental track underneath it or try and incorporate your first dance song in some way.

How will the final product be delivered?

  • Standard delivery for all wedding videos is digital download hosted by google drive. Looking for something physical? We also offer a set of personalized wooden USB sticks with your wedding date engraved. Also, starting this year we're offering video books! A coffee table style book that you open to a screen that automatically starts playing your wedding video. No loading time or internet connection required! The basic video book is a white book with the couples name and date on the front. The premium video book has photos from your wedding making up the inner and outer covers.

Do we get a say in the edit?

  • Sure! Every highlight video is allowed one round of edits if you're not happy with how the inital edit turned out. After the first free round of edits any additional editing will be subject to a fee.

Should I book one or two videographers?

  • How big is your wedding? Will you have more than one photographer? Are the bride and groom getting ready in completely separate locations? These are the questions to take into consideration when deciding how many videographers should be booked. Two videographers covers more ground and allows for more footage and angles. Many times if you have multiple photographers they may split up while one covers the groomsmen and the other covers the bridesmaids. One videographer may have to pick between covering either the guys or gals or have to run back and forth potentially missing moments. In fact, if you mention that you read this FAQ, you qualify for a $100 discount towards an additional videographer!

Do we have to feed you?

  • Generally speaking, most of the team tends to eat almost every single day. Ideally, we'd prefer to eat during the reception right after the bride, groom and bridal party go through the buffet or are served their meals. We prefer to eat near the beginning of dinner service so we can go ahead and get it out of the way to be prepared for toasts or whatever event comes at the tail end of dinner.

How would you describe your video style?

  • I'd say cinematic. The way the highlight video unfolds is typically in the same event as they play out during the day starting with the getting ready details and moving on from there recreating the story of the day.
